How to unlink your Android or iPhone from Windows 10

Windows 10 makes it very easy to link your Android or iPhone to Windows 10. With the “Continue on PC” option, you can access your apps (web pages) on your Personal Computer. See this article on how to link your Andriod or iPhone to your Windows 10 device.

Sep 1: To unlink your device from your PC, it is very straight forward. Kindly follow the steps below.
– Open Windows Settings as shown below

Click on the Phone Option as shown below

Next, select the phone you wish to unlink. In case you have multiple devices, select the right one and
– Click on unlink this PC

Step 2: Click on “Manage all devices linked with your Microsoft account” as shown in the figure above
– Click on clear Sync settings

This will clear Sync settings across all devices

Click on remove to delete your personal data from the cloud

Click on yes to confirm it

As you can see below, you personal data has been removed from the cloud.

Step 3: Lets unlink your device (iPhone)
– Click on the three dots close to

Select the checkbox to have your phone unlinked

Click on remove ro remove your phone

Now, you phone has been unlinked as shown below.

Step 4: You will have to go to your phone, in my case an iPhone to terminate the synchronization and sign out of the app. To do this, open Microsoft Edge and follow the steps below.
– Click on settings as shown below

As you can see, the synchronisation is still on. Here you will have to turn off synchronisation as shown below

Turn the Sync off as shown below and click on “Done

Finally, you can now sign out and have your data deleted.
