However, you might have experienced that when many programs try to start at once, your computer may be extremely slow down and can take forever to boot up successfully. Launch the Startup App Window

When you open Task Manager and click on the Startup tab to manage auto-start entries. To disable startup programs. Right-click the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and click Task Manager on the window that opens as shown below

This will open up the Task Manager Window as shown below. Click on the Start-Up tab at the top of the task manager window. Click on the Status box to list all of the programs that status on your device when the PC starts up.

If the startup status of the selected program is disabled as shown above for Cortona and you wish to have it run on startup on your computer, select the option of Enable as shown above.

Alternatively, you could right-click on the program as shown below and select Enabled it as well.

But if the startup status of the program is enabled but you want to disable it from starting up on Windows startup, select the option of Disable as shown below.

To view or change programs that run on startup via Windows Settings

Search for Windows settings or launch Windows settings as shown below.

This will open up the Windows Settings App as shown below. Click on Apps

From the startup window, you can change the status from disabled to enabled by switching the button on or off as shown below.

Note: You can also change a program startup (enabled or disabled) via the “Startup Folder”. This is the best way to run custom apps on Windows startup. Below are the needed steps.

Open the run dialog box as shown below by hitting the Windows Key+R. Next, type shell:startup and click OK.
