Amazon To Hold Its Hardware Event On September 28

Amazon has set the date for its 2021 hardware showcase event. This is according to a blog report that the company said that the event will be next week on September 28, at noon ET. It was said that Amazon didn’t specify what it will unveil, that it just stated that “news about our latest Amazon devices, features, and services will be the highlights of the event.”

Traditionally, Amazon has used its hardware event to show off updated smart speakers, new and improved Ring home security products, and streaming devices.

Last year at the same event, the company launched the new Echo, new versions of the Echo Dot, the Eero 6 and 6 Pro Wi-Fi routers, a new Echo Show, and plenty of security products like the Ring Car Cam, Ring Car Alarm, and Ring Always Home Cam. There was also a new Fire Stick 4K and Fire Stick Lite.

Amazon will hold its hardware event on September 28, 2021, at 12:00 PM ET but there is no word about what it will unveil.

Also, one of Amazon’s biggest announcements last year was the launch of the Amazon Luna game streaming service, intended to compete with the likes of Google Stadia and Microsoft Cloud. Luna is still not open to the public though. So far, only Amazon users in the US are currently allowed to request early access.

An update about the game streaming service will likely be part of the next week’s event.
