Pixel Phone Users Can Now Install Android 12

The final version of Android 12 has been officially launched for people who want to easily pick up the update over the air and it is available to be installed on Pixel 3 and up, including the Pixel 3A, Pixel 4, Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A 5G, the Pixel 5, and the Pixel 5A. It’ll launch on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, as well. However, the Android 12 will be coming later this year to Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi devices.

The latest version of the operating system is designed to offer a new personalized look with ‘Material You’. The Material You is designed to enable users to go a little deeper and tweak the look of their smartphone home screen as per their liking. The tool allows users to coordinate the colors that can extend across app icons, widgets, and more.

Speaking of widgets, many of those have been updated to match the new look, and Google shared that by the end of October, it plans to have over a dozen new or refreshed widgets available for its first-party apps.

Privacy Dashboard is another important privacy feature of Android 12. Privacy Dashboard gives you a clear and comprehensive view of when apps access your location, camera, or mic over the past 24 hours. If you see anything that you’re not comfortable with, you can manage permissions right from the dashboard.

Android 12 is available for Pixel smartphones now and it will be coming to Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo, Xiaomi devices, and more later this year.
