View and Clear or Print Norton Security Events on a Mac

Note: Norton Security History, in the Advanced details window, gives more information about a security event so that you can decide on the action to be taken. In this guide, I will be discussing the steps to achieve this.

View Norton Security Events on Mac

To launch the Norton360 application, click on the LaunchPad and search for Norton as shown below.

Open your Norton device security product. If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

In the Norton product main window, double-click Security as shown below.

This will open the Norton Advanced window as shown below. Next, click on the Security History as shown below.

Under General, you can click on All, and all the security events will be displayed.

To take a look at each event, double-click on it as shown below.

In the Security History window, in the Show drop-down list, select the category to filter the security events by category. For example, select Quarantine to list only the security events that are related to the Quarantine feature.

If there were events, you will have to double-click an item, or select More Options, to open the Security History Advanced Details or File Insight window. In my case, I have no events and therefore, the window is empty.

As you can see also, there isn’t any threat as well. If there were threats, they will be available on the right pane of the window.

For location awareness as well. When you are in a new location, this will be detected and the configuration will be updated.

Under the Firewall and Application Blocking, you have the option to view the security options as desired.

You can as well view the connection that has been blocked. This can be done by double-clicking on each event you wish to take a deeper look into.

Print Security Events

If you wish to print the events, click on the Printer Icon and print the events of your choice. You can view more printing details by clicking on the show details as shown below.

How to Clear Norton Events

To clear the security logs, kindly click on the clear log icon on the security history as shown below.

Note: You can clear all the log entries on the fly or clear certain logs over a period of time. When you are done, click on the Clear button.

Lastly, you can decide to display events based on severity. If this is what you wish to do, click on the Filter icon
