AWS CLI Error: All commands return Unknown output type [None]

The AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) is a unified tool to manage your AWS services. With just one tool to download and configure, you can control multiple AWS services from the command line and automate them through scripts. Often times the ~/.aws/config is having some configuration issues and needs to be reconfigured or modified. This is because there are multiple declarations for the same setting under a single role header. Therefore, editing the file manually will fix this issue. See the link below on how to reconfigure AWS CLI or find the directory. Kindly refer to these related guides: How to add an EBS volume to AWS EC2 via the AWS Console and CLI, and how to configure AWS CLI [Part 1].

Fixing this AWS CLI Error

Here you will find the config and credentials files path. Simply modify the following below.

C:\Users\xxxxxxxxx\.aws

Modify accordingly with the right keys
– AWS Access Key ID and Access
– AWS Secret Access Key

I hope you found this blog post on fixing this AWS CLI Error helpful. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comment session.
