
Replacing an old printer with a new printer (model) requires you to delete printer drivers from your macOS. Below are the simple steps to remove (uninstall) a printer from the list of available printers on a macOS. Access the System Preferences and click Printers & Scanners as shown below.
This will open the Printer and Scanners window as shown below

To remove the old Printer and Fax devices the following steps below should be performed.
To remove a Printer
Click on the Printer and select the (-) sign to remove the printer


To remove a Fax
Same steps should be followed as the printer above.
Click on the Printer and select the (-) sign to remove the printer
