Assigning Multiple IPs

You can specify multiple private IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for your instances. The number of network interfaces and private IPv4 and IPv6 addresses that you can specify for an instance depends on the instance type. In this article, we will discuss “What to note before assigning Multiple IPs’ to an Instance”. Please see Add or delete users and set permissions in Azure AD, Pleasant User Group Permission and User Access, and How to check and assign privileges to a MySQL User.

Also, see “Pass-Through Authentication Authentication and ADFS environment setup on Hyper-V for Hybrid Identity integration“, and “What are the differences between Universal, Global, and Domain Local Group Scopes“.

Assigning Multiple IPs

Things to note before Assigning Multiple IPs’ to an Instance

  • Classic EC2 instances can only have a single Elastic IP address associated (attached) to them.
  • To have multiple IP addresses associated with your instance. You must use VPC and setup multiple network interfaces on your instance.

INFO: AWS announced sometime between 2012 and 2014 that a single ENI can be Assigning Multiple IPs’ to an Instance of multiple EIPs assigned to it. This answer and the question are no longer relevant as a result.
