Changing the speller and proofing language in macOS in different from how this is done in Windows. In this article, I will show you how to change the speller and proofing language in PowerPoint. Doing this is useful if you are preparing presentations in multiple languages or documents that involve multiple languages. Or are intended for specific audience. Changing the spelling and proofing language in PowerPoint is essential for ensuring that your documents are checked and corrected according to the appropriate language rules.

Change the Spelling and Proofing Language in PowerPoint

Below are the steps to get this done.

  • Launch PowerPoint
  • Navigate “Tool” on the top menu bar as shown below

Next, select languages under tool as shown below

  • Select your speller and proofing language as shown in the figure below
  • Click on Set As Default.

To make this take effect immediately on your current ppt. windows, close and relaunch PowerPoint.

The tools is so powerful that allows several proofing languages in the same presentation. Make sure to have the required proofing dictionaries installed as shown above.
