Hide or Remove Search Button from Windows 10 Taskbar

Windows 10 is embedded with the search box feature that you can use to search for anything on the computer. In this guide, I will be showing you how to Hide or Remove Search Button from Windows 10 Taskbar. The feature is very good but it occupies some space on the taskbar which some people do not like in case they want to add more icons to the taskbar they might need to remove the space the search box is occupying.

Here is a YouTube video on how to hide or to remove the search Button from Windows 10 Taskbar.

That is remove this extra space so that you can have free space for other icons that will be placed on the taskbar.

The search box is right next to the Start button and is capable of searching the web and your entire PC.

Hide or Remove Search Button from Windows

The image below displays the amount of space the Search feature occupies on the taskbar. When you search for an application or files the search will display the search result that matches your search.

To remove the search box from Windows 10 taskbar you can follow the below steps. Right-click inside the search box and select Search > Hidden option to remove the search box from the Windows 10 taskbar.

Immediately you click on Hidden the Search box will be hidden.

2. Immediately you click on Hidden the Search space will disappear.

3. You may decide to remove the space while the Search icon still exist on the taskbar. All what you need to do is to Click on Show Search icon
