Delete an App from Launchpad on macOS

I installed Screen Record Luncher and I wanted to remove it through the finder, but this was not possible. See the icon below. Kindly find below the steps needed to remove an icon from the launchpad that does not appear in the Finder.

To open Launchpad, click it in the Dock or open it from your Applications folder. Or pinch closed with your thumb and three fingers on your trackpad.

Note; type its name in the search field at the top of Launchpad. If you have more than one page of apps, you can switch pages by clicking the dots at the bottom of the screen, or by swiping right or left with two fingers on your trackpad

Right-click the icon on the dock, select “option” – “show in finder”,

Click on the Application below and delete the application.

Now navigate to the Launchpad, right-click the icon to remove it nor can I drag and drop it into the trash.

Alternatively, Press and hold the Option key, or click and hold any app until the apps jiggle.

Click the Delete button next to the app you want to delete, then click Delete to confirm. The app will be deleted immediately.

Step 2: Use the Finder to delete Apps

This step assumes you know the Application name and can be found easily via the Finder window, and it is similar to the first step above. Please see You can not open this application because it is in the bin, and how to delete a Virtual Machine via the Azure Portal.

Switch to the Finder, such as by clicking your desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock. Click on Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Select the app you want to delete. Use any of these ways to move the app to the Bin:

Drag the app to the Bin.
Select the app and choose File > Move to Bin from the menu bar.
