Resolution

When setting up your VM, be sure to choose Generation 2. This selection supports the latest virtualization features, UEFI, and the necessary Secure Boot and TPM on HyperV, all of which are essential for running Windows 11 smoothly.

To begin the process of enabling Secure Boot and TPM on HyperV, launch the Hyper V manager. Subsequently, right-click on the desired virtual machine (VM) intended for Windows 11 installation. From the context menu, choose “Settings.”

The TPM Chip, also known as the Trusted Platform Module is a hardware security module on your motherboard, designed by the Trusted Computing Group Consortium.

In the Settings window, click on Security on the left and on the right side to make sure that the box for Enable Secure boot and Enable Trusted Platform Machine are checked.

HyperV

After checking it click Apply and OK. Then you can resume your Windows 11 installation.

Increase the “Number of virtual processors“

But sometimes the issue may persist. Open your Virtual machine settings and on the left-side select Processor. On the right side, increase the “Number of virtual processors” to at least 2. After that click Apply and OK.
