The Windows taskbar is a key feature of the Windows operating system that provides quick access to various functionalities, including open applications, system notifications, and essential tools. In this article, you will learn how to move the Taskbar to a second screen in Windows. Please see How to Fix Taskbar Icons Missing on Windows 11, how to Move Azure Resources between Subscriptions, and the Various ways to hide Windows Taskbar.

Some of the components of the Windows Taskbar includes, the Searchbar, Taskbar Buttons, Start button, and pinned applications etc.

Please see “How to move a computer object from one container (OU) to another“, and How to Enable the End Task Option on Windows 11 Taskbar.

Scenario: Move the Taskbar to a second screen

You have two desktops and you have restricted your task bar to appear only on one screen. But it appears on different screen which is not satisfying to you.

Solution

This is because you have made the other screen your main desktop. To configure this. Click on the desired laptop you wish to configure this.

Right-click on your desktop and select display settings. Under multiple display, and select make this my main Display

Taskbar multiple monitors

This will ensure the taskbar is moved from the second screen to the desired screen.
