Veeam Backup Console must be updated to the latest version

In this article, we will discuss the steps to update the console when prompted: “Veeam Backup Console must be updated to the latest version” at the time of writing this article. The Veeam Backup & Replication Console is the main interface used to configure, monitor, and manage all backup, replication, and recovery tasks. Please, see how to Upgrade Veeam Backup and Replication to version 12.2, how to upgrade Veeam Backup and Replication 12.3, and how to mitigate Veeam Threat Hunter Service Scanning Interference.
The Backup console can be installed locally on the backup server. It can also be installed remotely as it is on this admin PC to connect and manage the Veeam environment.

Update Remote Veeam Backup Console
Please, see this article on how to install Veeam Backup Console on a Jump Server (Remote Admin PC). Veeam recommends that the Veeam Backup & Replication console is on the same version as Veeam Backup & Replication installed on the backup server. Otherwise, perform an upgrade to version 12.3, as it is in my case.
In this case, th Veeam Backup and Replication server is on a higher version than the console. So the upgrade process will be way easier. When prompted to update the console as shown below, click on “Yes”.

As you can see, the updates are being downloaded.
Shortly, the old instance etc will be uninstalled

A new instance of the Veeam backup and replication is being installed.

Other relevant services are also installed as well.

Installing Veeam Threat hunter etc as well.

As you can see, the console has been installed successfully.
