In this article, we shall discuss the steps to upgrade Veeam ONE to build 13.1.0.7034. Veeam ONE 13.1 expands monitoring coverage, strengthens identity and access controls, improves threat visibility, and modernizes reporting and upgrade operations. Note: Veeam ONE v13 is still strictly Windows-based. Unlike Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) and Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager (VBEM), there is no Linux appliance or VSA model for Veeam ONE v13. The release (Veeam ONE 13.1.0.7034) is particularly relevant for organizations that need broader hypervisor visibility, least-privilege administration, stronger authentication, and improved operational reporting. This upgrades is an in-place upgrade and ensures product data, settings, and configuration are preserved.

What’s New in Veeam ONE 13.1

Therefore, before you upgrade, please refer to the Veeam One 13.1 Release Notes for known issues and system requirements for large scale deployments etc., and also do well to see the press release document here.

Expanded Hypervisor Support: Native monitoring and visibility for Scale Computing HyperCore, HPE Morpheus VME, Sangfor aSV, and Citrix Xen.

Enterprise Security & Access Controls: Built-in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO) with SAML-based identity provider support, and granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Integrated Security Analytics: Deep integration with security platforms (such as Coveware API integration) and centralized visibility via the Veeam Threat Center.

Revamped Web Client: Improved UX/UI, dedicated Veeam Intelligent Diagnostics dashboard, and dynamic Alarms Overview.

Download Veeam ONE ISO

Download the Veeam ONE 13.1 installation image VeeamONE_13.1.0.7034 iso from the portal as shown below

Mount the downloaded ISO image

Run Setup.exe to open the main installer menu.

Click Upgrade on the initial splash screen.

Then select Upgrade Veeam ONE.

License Agreement & Component Review

Accept the License Agreement terms to proceed.

Review the component upgrade summary (Veeam ONE Server, Web Services, and Client will be upgraded to 13.1.0.7034) and click Next.

Enter the password for the configured service account in your case and click on Next

Allow the setup wizard to perform system checks for missing prerequisites and configurations.

Review the final deployment summary on the Ready to Upgrade screen and click Upgrade.

The installer will systematically update the Veeam ONE client

Thereafter, update the Veeam ONE Server

It will also upgrade the Veeam ONE Web Services

And lastly, finalize the installation and start the services

Click Finish once the success notification appears.

Post-Upgrade Verification

Note: Veeam ONE 13.1 provides an improved update and upgrade experience, including update management through the Web Client as shown below.

If you have not integrated Coveware up till now, you can do this by navigating to Configuration > Security > Coveware integration, enable the toggle, and sign in with your enterprise credentials to enable advanced threat analytics.

When redirected, please enter your credentials to sign-in.

You can also access the Threat Center tab to review platform security compliance scores, recovery health, and malware detection metrics.

Note: As mentioned above, now you can apply the Veeam ONE 13.1 Patch 0 (13.1.0.7233) now that the prerequiste have been met.
