Encryption is another main feature of DriveLock that can help you secure sensitive information. It does this by enforcing encryption when copying data to removable drives. In this article, we shall discuss how to fix “The following server could not be reached or validated: The DriveLock server returned an invalid or unrecognized response”. Please see the how-to install DriveLock Encryption software (Standalone Installation) and also see how to perform DriveLock quick setup. See more on Important DriveLock components to master.

You can use the DriveLock Full Disk Encryption option to encrypt hard disks. This includes the system partition, and to perform pre-boot authentication with a single sign-on to Windows.

DriveLock can also erase sensitive data permanently and safely by overwriting data multiple times using one of several industry-standard algorithms

Please see Fix Windows Admin Center cannot be reached, How to download and install DriveLock on Windows, and “The server could not be reached or validated: Timeout expired. The Time out expired prior to obtaining a connection from the pool“.

Reason for error ” The following server could not be reached or validated”

The following error below was prompted when I wanted to turn on the DriveLock Enterprise service.

This “server could not be reached or validated” error was because the enterprise service was not running as shown below.

Drivelock Enterprise Service is not running

Please see “How to Fix SmartScreen can’t be reached right now on Windows 10 and 11‘, and How to Diagnose a Windows Hardware Issue.

Solution “The DriveLock server returned an invalid or unrecognized response”

Have the Enterprise service started as shown below

Start DES

As we can see below, the service is running again correctly

Drivelock Enterprise Service is running

That’s it for fixing “server could not be reached or validated”. I hope you found this blog post helpful. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comment session.
