Sometimes you may feel there’s less and less application memory on your Mac, and if you want to delete some apps to free up space, OneDrive is on your list. You can remove OneDrive from Mac manually as described in the subsequent steps below.

Fix the item “OneDrive” can’t be moved to the Bin because it’s open
You are unable to remove OneDrive because the application is automatically opened upon login.
In order to resolve this error,, we will have to remove the app from automatic login and then proceed with the deletion again. As you can see from the image below, we are unable to delete OneDrive from Mac.
Navigate to System Preferences from the LaunchPad,
Click on the Users & Groups as shown below
Click on the “Login Options” tab, and on the Padlock in order to make changes.
You will be required to authenticate to unlock USers & Grup Preferences. Please Enter your Administrative PAssword.
As you can see below, OneDrive starts automatically when I log in. You can uncheck and restart.
Alternatively, I have decided to remove it entirely. Because I am deleting OneDrive, I will have to remove it by selecting OneDrive and clicking on the (-) button as shown in the image below.
Then restart your Mac (Apple menu > Restart). As you can see below, my device has restarted.
After it boots up, drag the OneDrive application to the Bin
You will be required to enter your password
to be able to do this.
I will recommend emptying the trash. After that, you should be able to re-download OneDrive from the Mac App Store.
That is all, OneDrive has been completely uninstalled.
