How to generate your trial SSL Certificate using DigiCert PKI platform

Every organization wants the business processes to be automated which will aid productivity, the reason why DigiCert PKI Platform was developed to assist organizations. DigiCert PKI Platform is a cloud-based service that enables organizations to quickly issue, renew, and revoke certificates used to power strong authentication, encryption, and digital signing applications.

Feel free to request a free trial to test the SSL Certificate for your private IP from DigiCert. When you do a link will be sent to your email to launch the PKI Platform and a Certificate pick-up code will be generated.

Setting Up Your Digital Certificate for PKI-Manager Access

You will need to install a digital certificate that you will use to authenticate yourself to PKI-Manager, where you can configure your Test Drive account, manage your users, and issue and approve certificates.

Follow the below steps in getting your DigiCert Authentication Client Browser Extension that will be needed to enroll for a certificate that will be needed to launch your PKI Manager Platform. This PKI Manager is what you will use to generate your SSL certificate.

Installing the digital certificate and creation of a new PIN that you will use to access the PKI Manager.

To create your SSL Certificate, click on Task and select Manage certificate profiles

Click Add certificate profiles and select type of profile. In our case its Test mode. Follow each process to create a profile.

Under the customization section, you will need to generate Certificate Signing Request (CSR), follow this guide on How to use the DigiCert Certificate Utility for Windows to create a CSR
