Windows 11 is embedded with the search box feature that you can use to search for anything on the computer. So you may want to hide the search icon from public access or for other reasons. In this guide, I will be showing you how to hide or remove the search button from Windows 11 Taskbar. Please see How to create and access a hidden share folder on Windows devices, how to fix Error Code: 0x80070035: MDT unable to access the Log share, and How to Fix Taskbar Icons Missing on Windows 11.

The feature is very good. Sometimes you may want to keep some files secret on your system. Also, you may want to make it difficult for someone using your computer not to be able to search for documents or files.

The search box is right next to the Windows icon. You can read these guide on how to Quickly Fix Windows Search Bar Not Working. See How to Disable Bing Search in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Follow the below steps on how you can hide or remove the Search button or icon from the Windows 11 taskbar.

Hide or Remove Windows Search Button
