Zoom provides a secure, reliable video platform for your communication needs, including meetings, chat, phone, webinars, and online events. It is quite interesting to note that you can host a secure, free video conference call on any device, like your laptop, smartphone, tablet, or smart display. Zoom makes it easy to start or join a secure video call with crystal-clear HD video and audio, and powerful collaboration features like screen sharing and annotation. Below are some related links: How to install Zoom video conference software in Linux System, How to download a shared ZOOM recording, and how to update Zoom Desktop Client on macOS.

The following steps described in this guide will help you resolve your audio issues when not working after joining a meeting on the Zoom mobile app for iOS or Android. In my case specifically, it was from an iOS device. Here are interesting links you may want to explore: How to stop Zoom App from launching automatically at startup on Mac, How to install Zoom on macOS Big Sur, Mojave, Catalina, High Sierra, and Capitan, and Turn off calls from iPhone: How to unlink FaceTime from Mac.

The following error, “Unable to access Microphone” will be prompted if you do not have Microphone enabled for Zoom on your iOS device. Here is how to resolve the same error on a Mac device: How to grant or deny Microphone access on Mac.

Note: If you try to enable Microphone while the meeting is in progress, you will be disconnected. All you have to do is join the meeting again, and the Microphone will work as desired.

But if you cannot hear other participants in a Zoom meeting, please follow these steps to resolve the issue.

  • Ensure your speaker is turned on. If you see the speaker icon in the top-left corner is turned off, tap it to turn on your speaker.
  • Increase the volume on your mobile device using the volume buttons or notification panel. Even if the speaker is turned on in Zoom, your device’s volume might be set to mute or vibrate only.
  • You may want to try som headsets or have your device restarted.
