How to fix unable to access Microphone issues on iOS

In order to resolve this issues, you will have to ensure Microphone is enabled for Zoom. To do this, kindly follow the steps below.

Navigate to Settings > Privacy > Microphone as shown below

As you can see the toggle for Zoom is currently disabled. Now switch on the toggle for Zoom to have it enabled.

Now that we have enabled microphone for Zoom, the issue should be resolved.

Note: Alternatively, you could search for Zoom under settings and enable Microphone from there

Ensure you toogle the Microphone option as shown below. In this way, you would also be able to resolve the microphone issues you are currently observing.

Note: If you try to enable Microphone while the meeting is in progress, you will be disconnected. All you have to do is join the meeting again, and the Microphone will work as desired.

But if you cannot hear other participants in a Zoom meeting, please follow these steps to resolve the issue.

  • Ensure your speaker is turned on. If you see the speaker icon in the top-left corner is turned off, tap it to turn on your speaker.
  • Increase the volume on your mobile device using the volume buttons or notification panel. Even if the speaker is turned on in Zoom, your device’s volume might be set to mute or vibrate only.
  • You may want to try som headsets or have your device restarted.
