Schedule and join Teams Meeting

Microsoft Teams is a messaging app designed to help teams work together in real-time collaboration and communication, schedule and join meetings, file and app sharing. This collaboration tool helps users work remotely and efficiently. Recently, I had the need to show someone how to work with Microsoft Teams efficiently. This reason gave birth to this article. Therefore, in this article, we shall be discussing How to schedule and join meetings with Microsoft Teams. Please see How to install Microsoft Teams on a macOS, How to download a shared ZOOM recording, and how to install and configure Microsoft Teams on Ubuntu.

Microsoft Teams have evolved through the years and was launched in November 2016 as part of the Office 365 productivity suite, now Microsoft 365. Teams have set its self apart from other competitors because you can use the platform as a hub to access the Microsoft 365 suite. This enables your employees to collaborate in real-time using apps such as Microsoft Whiteboard, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word without switching between screens. Also, see how to Uninstall & Prevent Future Installation, and how to share an app window on Microsoft Teams.

Give your meeting a title. Decide on a date and time. Please do not forget to add any additional details as you wish, and click save.

Note: When you add a channel, all members of that channel are able to join the meeting. Also, all resources shared and any recordings taken during the meeting are saved in the channel.

Joining a meeting via Teams is also very straightforward. Oftentimes, the icon to join a meeting will be prompted.

Yes, Microsoft Teams allows you to collaborate with external users or guests. You can invite external users to join your teams and channels, enabling cross-organization collaboration. Guests can access chat, files, and participate in meetings. However, they are somewhat limited in accessing some features because they are subject to the organization’s security and compliance policies.
