Slack is a new way to communicate with your team. It’s faster, better organized, and more secure than email. You can only delete or deactivate your Slack account from a computer browser, you cannot do so through the app on a mobile device. You can also start the process from the Desktop if you wish. But you will be redirected to the browser to complete the deletion or deactivation.
Deleting a workspace is permanent, so make sure to proceed with care. Messages and files cannot be retrieved after your workspace is deleted, so we recommend exporting your workspace data first. How to install and configure BigBlueButton on Ubuntu Linux 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus, and how to install Mattermost on Ubuntu and Debian, how to install and configure Jitsi video conferencing server on Ubuntu, how to set up and configure Jitsi as SoftPhone, how to update Zoom Desktop Client on macOS, and how to integrate WordPress site with WP Telegram.
Deleting a Slack workspace cannot be undone. All messages and files will be irretrievable. Please take caution and consider exporting your data before deletion.
Note: Don’t delete your workspace if you just want to change your workspace’s name or URL. You also might want to export your data before deleting your workspace.. You may just want to deativate (leave) your Slack Workspace temporarily. This guide shows how to deactivate a Slack workspace.
