Outdated, or corrupted display drivers are one of the most common reasons why an extended monitor setup suddenly misbehaves or stops working entirely. Updating your GPU (graphics processing unit) driver (keeping the display adapter driver) up to date is essential for smooth performance, better graphics, and system stability. In addition to these, it helps ensure the below:

Fix bugs and display issues
Enable new features and optimizations
Improve compatibility with the latest apps and OS updates.

Perform update via Device Manager and Windows Update

To search for updates via the device manager, please follow the stpe sbelow. Note that this method installs basic drivers only. For the latest updates, use AMD’s official software as discussed in the section below.

Right-click AMD Radeon 610M
Select Update driver
Choose: Search automatically for drivers.

Note: To check for Windows Update, naviagate to Settings and click on Windows Update. Click Check for updates, and install any available updates. Note that optional driver updates may also be available under: Advanced options, then Optional updates

When you are unable to perform Driver updates correctly via the Device Manager and Windows Update as shown below. Please proceed with the AMD Software installation section of this article. With the AMD software, the system now has the proper factory drivers to handle multi-monitor routing

Download Drivers from AMD

Here is the link to download Drivers and Support for processors and graphics as shown in the image below. Since Windows didn’t install the latest driver, under the Windows 10/11 Drivers section. Download the Auto-Detect and Install tool as shown below. This performs “auto-detect and installs drivers for you”.

Open the downloaded file and this will check for the PC hardware for driver and software compatibility

Shortly, the AMD Software installer detects “AMD Radeon 610M AMD Ryzen 5 7520U with Radeon Graphics”. Click on “Accept & Express Install as shown below.

This ensures the download and extraction of the minimal build as shown below..

Followed by package download progress

As you can see the AMD installer software installs the drivers automatically

Once completed, a confirmation screen will appear saying “AMD Software was installed successfully as shown below.” Check the boxes to launch the software or keep it up to date, then click Close.

To ensure everything went through smoothly, reopen your Device Manager as shown below. Expand Display adapters once more. The AMD Radeon graphics card should be listed properly without any warning. This shows that the driver has been fully updated and optimized for performance.
