Unfortunately, Slack currently does not have the feature to will enable you to remove a user from a channel via the mobile app at this point.
Slack enables its users easily remove members from a workspace using a Web browser, Mac, or Windows desktop apps. But you have to be assigned the administrative rights to remove other users. If you’re an administrator, or the creator of the workspace, kindly follow these steps to remove a member on your desktop. Here is how to deactivate and reactivate a Slack user, and how to download a shared ZOOM recording.
Open Slack on the Desktop, or the Web and tap on the channel where you would like to remove the user. As you can see from the image below, I have got a few channels and I will be removing the user from all.
- Next, you will locate the upper right-hand corner of the chatbox, click on the Members icon.
Hover any of the names you wish to remove and click Remove as shown below.
You will be asked to confirm the removal of the user from the channel. Kindly click on confirm by clicking on the Remove button as shown below.
This isn’t the only way to remove a user from a slack channel. Another way to remove someone is to type in the following command in the channel in question: “/remove @[insert member name].” Then click “Enter” or click the paper plane icon.
